An All Cardinals Showdown Set for Beaumont

BEAUMONT, Texas – After an impressive showing in their Southland Conference opener, the Lamar University Cardinals will look to go 2-0 in league play Monday when they host UIW. Lamar enters Monday’s contest with a 7-7 (.500) overall record after winning consecutive games. The Cardinals now turn their focus to UIW who enters the new week with a 5-9 (.357) overall record and is 0-1 in conference play after a 10-point home setback against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The Southland’s other Cardinals have split their last four contests. Monday’s game against the other Cardinals will tip off at 7 p.m. Monday from the Neches Arena.
